As you can see, the blizzard lived up to the hype. The time elapsed from the first “before” photo to the last photo you see, which is the outside of the same window, is exactly 24hrs. As you can see by careful scientific measurement, we got exactly one Whuffle of snow.
One Whuffle whose opinion of snow is less than positive. He consented to be placed down on the ground today to splash in a slush puddle, but in the actual *snow?* Not having it.
Happy to report that we never lost power and our cheese rations lasted through the storm. Now for the exquisite joy of getting through this much snow with a stroller. Either that or the equal joy of bringing the Kokopax out of retirement and dealing with the inevitable squirming and hair pulling. It’s a lose/lose situation. Lose/lose/lose when you consider how much sanity we’d lose staying in the house. Oh the joys of Bostonian winters. This was absolutely my least favorite part of nannying in Boston – the stroller/snow/slush debacle. It’s enough make you want to catch the next flight to Florida, save for getting to the airport would require going back outside through the slush. Again.

Such a relief that the cheese lasted throughout. It’s good to see you all enjoying nature’s winter bounty.
Today is the real hard part – six inch deep slush! My least favorite part of living in Boston, especially with the stroller. But hey, the grocery store is open again so we’re no longer in danger of running out of cheese!
